Content Description | No addressee is named, but apparently Kellock is replying to a letter from Shaw written 6 April 1792 (refer to GLC02437.05403). Touches on several topics, including recent difficult weather for transatlantic journeys. Comments that the recent financial scares in New York and Philadelphia have had a negative impact on merchants who trade to those places, such as those in London. Discusses the endeavors of their business associates in Ostend (such as George Bell), particularly upcoming ventures in India and China.
