Content Description Writes, "Your accepted draught in favor of Peter Webbers is deposited on my hands with Instructions to put the same in suit unless forthwith discharged I thought proper to give you this previous notice before any Legal Steps were taken for the recovery of the amount thereof. As it appears to me this Bill cannot be Subject to a controversy in the hands of the present holder I could [work?] an amicable settlement to avoid the expense that must attend a litigation."
