Content Description Congratulates Knox on his resignation from the position of Secretary at War and informs him about the progress on the house Knox is building [Montpelier]. Informs him of an unnamed man "the owner of a certain piece of land on the [Mill?] River" was about to sail for Boston but had some bad luck. He injured his hands "by blowing of lime rock" and his daughter died. Discusses some issue involving this man.
