Title Sylvia Weiner Sylvia Weiner to Morris "Moe" Weiner
Date 23 April 1943
Author Weiner, Sylvia (1912-2008)
Recipient Weiner, Morris
Document Type Correspondence
Content Description Time not noted. At the office. Sylvia mentions attending a meeting of the CIO Industrial Council (for the purpose of infiltrating down into the community). A man from the NMU spoke of the importance of the Soviet. Plans were made up for activity in the areas of child care, alleviation of the black markets, efforts to obtain labeling on cans and jars describing contents, to increase pressure on Federal, State and City law makers and to educate all people on the points described above. There is a "gas situation" since people claim the do not have gas, since they sold it to the Black Market, but cars are out "by millions" on Saturday and Sunday. Notes Moe speaks in his letters of Rommel and the Second Front. She says let's keep the Axis on its toes and guessing as to when the invasion will be.
