Content Description | They got on a boat going away from Baton Rouge and rejoined the regiment 73 miles from New Orleans. He is sick of the war. The possibility that it might end soon is looking bleaker. He has no money to spend on good food, and although in theory the government provides ample rations, this depends on how well it is cooked and whether it all reaches the soldiers. |
