Content Description General Sheridan forwards a book (not included) of Indian illustrations supposedly found in Black Kettle's tent after Custer's 1868 victory over him "on the Washita in the Indian Country." The book illustrated the "heroic deeds of Black Kettle & his band, or at least some of his Warriors."
