Content Description Hall considers the Civil War the only justifiable war, apparently because it brought the abolition of slavery. War between England and the U.S. "would be Fratricidal & a hideous crime." He believes arbitration and a treaty can settle any conflict between the two nations, possibly referring to the Alabama Claims.
