Content Description | Morton wears the shoulder insignia of an ensign, but the sleeve stripes of a staff master. Ink inscription on recto "G. W. Morton--U.S. Navy." Ink inscription on verso "GW Morton U.S. Navy." Photographers imprint on verso: "I. W. Cook, Photographer, Wemouth Landing, Ms. Photographs Additional Copies from the plate from which this picture is taken, can be had if desired." Cancelled blue two-cent tax stamp on verso. |
