Content Description Paul hopes his wife recovers from her illness and asks her not to work out of the house for another woman. He explains to her that he fought in a battle and was glad that they escaped across the river rather than continue to fight. He describes the Rebel's superior position, and believes the battle was mismanaged. Paul refers to a letter with more particulars of the battle, but this letter does not appear to be in the collection.
