Content Description | The Justices wrote the letter in response to a dispute between the Council and the Assembly of New York regarding the "amending of money Bills." In the letter, the Justices find in favor of the Council, as they charge the Assembly with "a Dimunition of his Majes. Royall Prerogative," and claim that the Assembly will be justly punished and reprimanded. |
