Content Description A collection of letters sent to the mayor, wardens, and burgesses of Kingston upon Hull. Letters related to American Revolution, called a "very alarming state of national affairs." Accuses great Britain of tyrannical rule, urges recognition of American independence. John Almon- Kearseley-Dilly-Crutwell-Mullet imprint. Signed by Hartley on p. ii, and at the end of each letter, p. 32, 51, 68, and 92.
