Additional Information Joseph Howell had served in the American Revolution, when the Constitution was passed he became Paymaster General of the Army, with the rank of Major. He held the office until his death. Captain John Bryant was the Deputy Commissary of Military Stores at the Armory in Springfield, Massachusetts.
