Content Description First page signed by Charles Cocks and Benjamin Langlois, of the Office of Ordnance. Includes a signature "Amherst," Jeffrey Amherst, a general in the British army (no first name is written). Certifies that George Pratt, gunner of the sloop Shark, has given an account of the expense of gunner's shares from 6 May to 19 November 1776. A note on second page, signed by Robinson N. Bowman, states that the certificate for Pratt is on the other side and informs that Mrs. Pratt will call on him for her marriage certificate. Also mentions paying a man named Clark his wages.
