Additional Information Sergeant Ward fought with the American Expeditionary Forces in Company H, 309th Infantry, USA, and was treated at Base Hospital 41 at the time this letter was written. Captain Anderson was in Company H, 309th Infantry, USA and went on to become a colonel in the 324th Infantry during World War II.
