Content Description | Letter written in clerical hand of Lt. Paul Quinn as the Assistant to the Fleet Surgeon of the North Atlantic Blockading Squadron. Letter is also signed by Quinn. The fleet surgeon was named Fal and it was written to McSherry as the surgeon on the USS "Wabash" at Hampton Roads, Virginia. Says his requisition for medicines has been filled and will be shipped as early as possible. Says they are out of whiskey, but that he can get some from the USS "Susquehanna," which was recently given some. |
