Content Description Informs Hull, commandant of West Point, that Hull has been appointed to go to Canada to ascertain when the British will withdraw their troops from the western posts. Hull will attempt to acquire information from the Commander of British forces in North America (Frederick Haldimand; refer to GLC02437.03019). Signature has been clipped.

Additional Information Although John Campbell served as British Commander in Chief of North America 1783-1787, Knox refers to Frederick Haldimand as Commander in Chief (refer to GLC02437.03019). In fact, Haldimand was Governor of the Province of Quebec 1778-1786.
