Content Description Contributes his thoughts on what to do with the "poor unfortunate invalid regiment." Declares that his ideas stem both from compassion for the soldiers and from "what I conceive to be the good of the service." Discusses physical examinations of the soldiers, how to judge who is capable for duty, and what sort of work they might be able to accomplish (says that they could not, for example, be employed in the movement of ordnance). Mentions Colonel Timothy Pickering, the Quartermaster General.
