Content Description Knox tells Lincoln that he has "paid on Gorhams execution 2000 Dollars, independent of the Sheriffs fees." Knox appropriated an additional $1800 to be raised and paid to Lincoln. Knox says it would not have been difficult for Lincoln's friends "to get that sum from one of the banks, renewable for the period." Knox will send the "articles engaged" as soon as the weather improves.
