| Content Description | Printed and sold by Leonard Yundt and Matthew Brown at 3 Calvert Street, Baltimore, Maryland. First page is entirely advertisements, including ones for various goods and services, real estate sales, and announcements for sailing vessels. Second page has news from Congress "On the motion for making provision for carrying into effect the treaty with Great-Britain." The page also three advertisements dealing with slaves: one put in anonymously selling "A Young Negro Woman, and 2 Children," another one put in by Richard Welch of Montgomery County for a six dollar reward for a runaway "Negro Man, named Ben, about 21 or 22 years of age," another one put in by Aquila Hall of Baltimore County for a 5 pound reward for a runaway "Negro man, named Dick, about 35 years of age." Page 3 has various shipping news and letters. Page also has two advertisements for slaves: one put in by William Lorman for a forty dollar reward for a runaway "dark Mulatto Man named Frank, 20 or 21 years of age," another is offering "Young Negroes for Sale. Three Girls and a Boy from 9 to 15 years old." Page 4 is entirely advertisements, with five dealing with slaves. One is offering for sale "A Negro Man, who has been brought up a rough carpenter," another is offering "For Sale, A Healthy Negro Girl, about 16 years old," another is offering "For Sale, a Negro Woman, About 20 years of age, another put in by Ezekiel John Dorsey of Hunting Ridge offers an 8 dollar reward for a runaway "Negro man named Samuel Galloway, 22 or 23 years of age." There is also a land sale ad put in by Edward Pannell that is also offering for say "a Negro Woman about 40 years of age, a Negro Girl 16 year old, and one 6 years." |
