Content Description Printed and sold by Leonard Yundt and Matthew Brown at 3 Calvert Street, Baltimore, Maryland. Front page consists entirely of advertisements, including an auction for "A healthy Negro Man, Who has been accustomed to work on a farm." Other ads include land sales, dry goods, and announcements of sailing vessels. Second page reports on events in the U.S. House of Representatives "On the motion for making provision for carrying into effect the treaty with Great-Britain." Page three has various letters, ship news, and advertisements. Those ads include two for runaway slaves. One was put in the newspaper by Edward Ireland offering a 20 dollar reward for the return of "Frank, about 19 or 20 years of age, black and well set, stout neck." The other was put in by Levi Hopkins offering a 20 dollar reward for "Charles, about 23 years of age, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high." Fourth page is also all advertisements for various goods and services, including one for a 10 dollar reward offered by Martin Sheet of Fell's Point for the return of "a Mulatto Wench, named Sarah, very tall, about 28 years of age."
