On stationery from the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where Hincks was Deputy Governor and Treasurer. Begins spelling his name as Hincks, not Hinks.

Additional Information Hincks was a Union General and Commander of Camp Lookout prison April - May 1864. He led a Negro division in the Petersburg siege. He also served on court martial and recruiting duties intermittently. Nichols was a Cambridge Massachusetts Commission merchant.
