Signed by 5 council members of the association. Also signed by 2 examiners, one in nautical science and the other in seamanship, that he passed the tests necessary for registration. Endorsed by the association's secretary on 17 May 1867, seemingly extending his registration for another year. An association stamp over the secretary's name is dated 1 June 1867.
