Content Description Printed by John A. Gray. Smith, a United States Representative 1853-1854, had been accused of missing an important vote on the Kansas-Nebraska Bill. Claiming previous misrepresentation in the Tribune, he argues that he voted against the Kansas-Nebraska Act, which he calls the "Nebraska bill."
