Content Description Mexico has Finished Her Career of Civil Dissension Accepting the Protection of the Emperor of France. An article describes the Domestic Mission Board's work and responsibilities. A letter to the editor examines the role of James the Apostle, and another letter describes the union of Columbia, Bethel, and Salem Baptist associations as a means of consolidation. An editorial calls Republicanism a failure, following Europe's example. Minutes from the Baptist State Convention of South Carolina are included.
