Content Description Signed by Sergeant J. A. Jamieson. Published by Bennett & Churchill. Authorship is unclear, but the book was possibly compiled by Jamieson, Sergeant G. I. Williams, Corporal H. White, Private Jack Allen, and Private John Graham. In the introduction, these men declare that they "the undersigned, 'Colored Boys,' who have been over seas with both the Ninety-Second, and Ninety-Third Division ... made up our minds while in the thick of battle that our people throughout the country should have a true history of what our boys have done right from we men who went through every part of the war." Includes details of battle and camp life. Contains photographs as illustrations, and soldiers' narratives of their service.
