Content Description | Describes how they are prone to get winter mail in June. States he will supervise work on the water pipe line, which will be 1600 feet long, but is not confident. [continued on 5/10] Regrets he did not leave in the fall and go into real estate. [continued on 5/29] Mentions Owen's letter about the holidays was published and received much praise. Discusses eating habits and Owen's menu on the mission. He is a month and week away from his 51st birthday. [continued on 6/5] Owen is going to England. Reports the Helen Johnston could not pass the ice and the men aboard "'mushed' across the ice." [note on top from 6/5] Asks Owen to ask Aunt Sarah Wall what time he was born on July 5, 1859. [continued on 6/6] Knows a Mason who was in the Holy Land but probably did not meet Owen. States he received a letter from Aunt Annie that complimented Owen. |
