Content Description | Partially printed document in which George Trembley of New Orleans, Louisiana, attests to selling 640 acres of Texas land to Edward T. Jackson for $325. The land had originally been granted to John Miller for service in the Texas Revolution and sold by him to Jackson on 12 December 1837. Signed by Trembley on the bottom and witnessed by Ant. Doriscourt and A. Austin. The certification of the sale by Bryan, acting as consul for the Republic of Texas, for the port of New Orleans, State of Louisiana, appears on the verso. |
