Content Description | Partially printed document countersigned by John Lowell as deputy secretary. Members of the Massachusetts Bay Council also signed, including: James Otis, W. Spooner, Caleb and Thomas Cushing, John Winthrop, B. Chadbourn, John Whitcomb, Jedediah Foster, James Prescott, Elias Taylor, Michael Farley, Jabez Fisher, Moses Gill, B. White, and Dr. Samuel Holten. Harman was appointed a first lieutenant in the 6th company, under Captain Roger Libby, in the 3rd regiment of militia for Cumberland County. Includes a paper seal. |
