Dear Husband
I hope this will find you in good health I am surprised that you did not get out from under Packeson before he was granted the privilege now we will have to hurry to get out from under them that is my fear and then we would be laughed at but I leave it to your wise guidance buy me some glasses mine are broken I have a big (hole?) on my teeth and the corruption (?) is still as much (alive?) I have let Jacob know that he should ride out the grain and said that Doorte is ill and the roads are so deep that he can not do it our mill has beenxxxx idled already for three days so we have about 8 barrels ready I have no idea what Tames will get along the road he has left on Monday and have ordered him to come here first before he goes to get the boards if he can get 600 bushel Japick has sold that young horse to the English about whom/which Robbert writes I hope he has embarked on a good road and that he does well with the lawyers to be gainful it saddens me very much that I do not hear from Johannes nor from Margrietje how they are doing nor from Veets send a box with lace with this be commended to the Lord Your loving wife Robbert’s linen is in his silk handkerchief in the case (?)
