My dear husband
(with?) Schermerhoorn I have gotten the goods already and sent shipped a canoo on board and sent shipped two palatine women with and half of the goods and sent again from board and gave along a small barrel of sugar and said there was no more and sent him again to Korlaers kil with 3 hands out of work for most of the day but I haven’t xx received the hoppers I am surprised that you did not let Ghijsbert have the yacht he would have paid for it and the skipper promised xx Ghijsbert to fetch the first of may Ghijsbert Osterheyyse has brought me 3 lb 10 in money and will now bring each voyage he said bring along 500 lb iron and a bundle (steel) wire he has a lot of work now from the highgermans we have neither iron nor steel but the highgermans do want to have sickles a Frenchman has some they cost 4 guilder the piece send a dozen Jeremie has that negro boy who knows English for 50 lb he will pay us when you get here and the other one was too small for Japick Roelef has the small one for 50 lb. to be paid in winter so for Japick you should sent up a big one like Jeremie’s I will now sift/bundle but how to get it off I don’t know since you always send the yacht out of the way a piece of red strowaters if it is cheap at the secretary’s/from the secretary have not yet received the fat for the candles Pieter Meese has been here longs for Robbert 202. that he should come here Philip was here and said the Kollens is calling xxx a lot of names he will ask him there what for the shoenails nor the 2 hoppers we have not received from Schermerhoorn Herries is here and breaks..................................................................it is amazing that we are not the only ones unhappy with...........................................not bring along now he said he has to do it he has had to let his work go and hired the two men and has to bake the stone he said so I do not know what to do we need a piece or 2 of fine rough osenb. linen 2 small barrels of sugar I am so very troubled Japick Visser promised me to come here and to take in 3 or 4 barrels of flour but I hear he passed by I wonder what we are doing with a yacht if we can not command it and send him away when we need it there is nearly 4 ton ready I can not get it off and don’t care to look after it anymore it seems sheer madness if we need the yacht that the skipper is the master our mill can not be fixed anymore we could not get Kiever he is at the Paltz I have had the mill fixed in parts it may run yet for a month at the longest they say so you can think about whether you needed to be home or not Robbert should be up there are a number of actions who would.....(forgive?) him I send you a small trunk with Naetje’s green lining it has been sealed I will send Syoo(?) to Overe to see if we can get Wilm Kiever to repair the wheels of the mill with this be commended to the Lord your loving wife Alida Livinghston
