My dear husband
I hope this will find you in good health I have not heard from you in a long time and from our son I have had to beg Naningh for him to take these 43 flour barrels 3 ton flour in 3 barrels it is surprising that you send the yacht away for it could have had 3 trips from Ghijsbert and then it could have taken our flour on each voyage as much as there was ready each trip I want 2 pieces fine osenb. rough 2 barrels of sugar a barrel rice and the molasses if you had not written that you needed the flour in 3 weeks I would not have gone through so much trouble to get it off the farmers want our yacht to fetch the grain otherwise will not get much from Klaverack we don’t get one bushel we can not go and get it with the canoes for they have a leak I hear that there are 5 who have a patent for Schachere I hope your debts will be paid as much as other people’s and see to it that you get a patent for a thousand acres in the Makes land which we have 200. for our children and that the lands may be returned to us which the Palatines have from the queen and that they do not continue and that they have spoiled so many thousands of trees if it goes well renew your patent bring along 2 pieces brown fine osenb. 2 barrels of sugar and the molasses a barrel rice please do try to get some land now while this governor is here and to extent your patent Nangh has 51 barrels of flour on board for you and a small case in which is Naetjes green lining with this be commended to the Lord your loving wife Alida Livinghston May 14 1714 in the manor of Livinghston these palatines wished that you could be their master/lord they are cleaning lustily don’t let anyone else be in our manor but us we don’t have a barrel with iron please bring some up
