My dear husband
I have received your letter with the governor’s yacht the frying pans are one less than 4 dozen all the other goods I have received we need some fish and 100 lb. heavy lead from those goods that I sent off with our yacht if it goes to the Esopus Sopus I have to got to get the .....(sarsie?) from that a dozen small barrels of soap and some salt that is all I need our Gijsbert xx went to Tachkanick with 2 wagons for wheat to brew it and there is such a heavy snow that they can’t come home with the wagons if you do not get any flour there and wheat from the Esopus Sopus you can not go on our yacht can not go up there is a heavy run-off with the rain and snow we have had so our yacht may freeze there and hard Northwinds Clarke can see how that he gets the bread from there I think that we have trouble enough for what we get from that don’t forget my shoes xxxxxxxx and Robbert’s and Hendrikje’s and Naetjes’ shoes are at Jackson’s 12 upper leathers we need if you can get it so bring it along that is ready money here Naetje said the small floor broom and 2 dusters which you bought from van Bouden have not arrived here we need an iron you can buy it from young Barbery with this commend you to the Lord xxxxx

I hope to see you and our yacht our Naetje thanks Betty Jameson she wants to remain with me do let her put the bed in one of her bedstead if she wants to do bring back 2 heavy blankets which are on the bed I nearly can’t stand Kas anymore to spread lies bring 2 pieces of cloth and a spinningwheel for flax which is good
