Content Description Lieutenant Sampson sends Major Lemuel Trescott, both of the 7th Massachusetts Regiment, charging Lieutenant Freeman with "breaking his arrest by wearing or appearing in publick Company with a Sword or Hanger" and Ensign Sawyer with "endeavoring in an Underhanded Manner to draw me from my Quarters in order to assault & abuse me" and "kicking & abusing me in Capt. Allens Quarters when requested to attend there by Capt. Allen."
