Includes discussions of Captain Cleveland's voyages to China, Hawaii, Alaska, South America, California and the Northwest coast from 1799-1803. His voyages to Alaska and the Islands in 1799 and California in 1803 pertained mostly to the fur trade. Includes descriptions of his impressions of Native Americans.
