Content Description | In accordance with Henry Knox's previous request, William reports on the character of [William Green], who he refers to as "Mr. G." Says that a mutual acquaintance "has no exalted opinion of Mr. G. although he could not say any thing against him either respecting his personal character or that he has not a large property." William could not ascertain the number of shares Green holds in the bank. Comfort Sands gave a favorable report of Green's character. Nonetheless, William advises Knox to be careful in his negotiations with Green. |
