Describes attempts by several groups to harm Knox's prospects in his land speculation project in Maine. Mentions one group led by Mr. [Samuel] Ely. Writes that he is "much alarm[ed]." Refers also to Captain [George] Ulmer, one of Knox's other agents in Maine, and describes how he is helping stop these conspirators (see GLC02437.06622 for related information).
