Content Description In the trial of Robert and Johannis Van Deusen v. Josiah Loomis, Charles DeWitt declares that the late Philip Livingston rented a piece of land in Taghkanic to Josiah Loomis. He further states that he informed Loomis of Robert Livingston, Jr.'s orders that he should remove himself from the land, to which Loomis replied that he was prepared to move from the house, but not from the land.
