Content Description Engraving from the original painting by Chappel. Depicts the surrender of Col. Rall at the Battle of Trenton to George Washington and his troops. Rall can be seen clutching a wound that would later prove fatal. The defeat for Rall and his troops has since been blamed in history on successive Christmas drinking.
