Transcript	Show/hide Castle Island June 24 1790 At a Garrison Court Martial held this day by Adjoinment _ Agreeable to His Excellency's warrant bearing date October 30 1789, for holden said Court for [illegible] tryal [sic] of the Convicts-- Thomas Port _ John Carny _ John Payn _ & Peter Rodgers was brought before the Court charg'd by Joseph Kiford Overseer of said Convicts with having made an attempt to Escape from their confinement by cutting through several parts of the Prison __ Each of the above prisoners being Question'd plead Guilty __ The Court sentence Each of them to Receive thirty nine stripes on their naked Backs __ Willm. Perkins This Court is Adjourn'd to Thursday the 8th July 1790 __ Boston June 25 1790 The Commander and Chief approves of the above sentence of the Court Martial and Order it to be put in Execution Thursday morning at Nine OClock
