Content Description | Copy. Contains two letters to Jackson from Flint, written on the same date. As Colonel [William] Duer has recently become insolvent, Flint tries to plan ways to raise the money he owes for their business arrangements, particularly regarding their land speculation project with Henry Knox. Comments on Jackson's recent purchase of townships in Maine, and Madame de Leval's proposed settlement in that area. The second letter assures Jackson that someone will depart the next morning with the necessary funds. |
