Content Description Printed by Roger C. Weightman. Boone sought a grant of land in the Missouri territory. The committee cites Boone's service to the United States, his willingness to face peril, his contribution to western settlement, and his current state of poverty. Authorizes that Boone's wish is granted, and that he receive a grant of land. Also states that the committee has corresponded with the legislature of Kentucky regarding creation of a Boone memorial.
