Content Description | The manuscript explains that in 1795, Petrus Polfer petitioned the Assembly to challenge the rights of the original proprietors of the Manor of Livingston. After investigating the charges, the Assembly concluded that the proprietor's had been in possession of the Manor for over 100 years, and were the rightful proprietors. The manuscript therefore declares that the prayer of the petitioner ought not to be granted. |
