Content Description | The proclamation describes a recent incident in which the tenants on the Manor of Livingston rioted in protest of the Livingston's claim to the land. As a result, a number of the tenants were shot in defense of the Manor, and Governor DeLancey therefore issued a proclamation to advise against any further uprisings. |
