Content Description Sends reports on the fall of Fort Donelson, which are "incomplete and unsatisfactory." The reports, which also include commentary on the Battle of Dover, were written by Brigadier General Gideon J. Pillow on 18 February 1862, Brigadier General John B. Floyd on 27 February 1862, Colonel G.C. Wharton on 22 February 1862, and Commander John McClausland on 23 February 1862. Pillow's report is the most substantial.
