Content Description | Discusses the decision made concerning a deed to a tract of land. Mr. De la Roche and Madame de Leval "went unto Henry Jackson ... and demanded of him title, to a tract of Land ... " which he refused to do so, saying "he has already assigned to Mr. De La Roche & Madame De Leval, a sufficient reason in his letter of the instant, for not Delivering the deeds in question, a survey of the Lands not having yet taken place, and the delay of the survey being occasioned by the parties contemplating a new contract touching the Lands in Question." Simmons ultimately sided with De la Roche and Leval. Seal affixed to left side. Watermarked "H S Sandy Run" and with a hunting horn inside a crest. |
