Show/hide Pennsylvania Sr Be it remembered That on the fourth - day of September in the Year of Our Lord One thousand and Seven hundred and seventy five - Before John Morton - Esq.r One of the Judges of the Supreme Court of the Province of Pennsylvania came Samuel Kennedy of the County of Chester, Physician and William Graham of the [struck: County Physician] City of Philadelphia [illegible], and acknowledged themselves to owe unto [strikeout] Ann Hamilton - one hundred & forty pounds of their goods & Chattles Lands & Tenements to be made and levied to the Use of the said Ann Hamilton, her Executors - Administrators or Assigns if Default be made in following Condition The Condition of the above Recognizance is such that [struck: of] Whereas Samuel Kennedy ------- hath this day sued out a Writ of Error to the Justices of the County Court of Common pleas for the County of Chester - directed, for certifying out of the same Court into the Supreme Court to be held at Philadelphia for the Province of Pennsylvania the twenty fourth day of September next, the Record & Process of a certain plea of Trespass on the Case - & Judgment thereupon rendered against the said Samuel Kennedy ---- at the suit of the above named Anne Hamilton If therefore the said Samuel Kennedy - by himself or his sufficient Attorney do prosecute the said Writ of Error with Effect & do also satisfy unto to the said - Ann Hamilton - if the aforesaid Judgment be affirmed, all the damages & Costs affirmed in the former Judgment & also all Costs & Charges to be awarded for delaying Execution, Then the above recognizance to be void or else to be and remain in full force & Virtue - Acknowledged & taken the day & year above said viz. the 4th day of Septr 1775 Before me John Morton at Ridley in Chester County -
