Date 3 September 1791
Author Maunsell, John (ca. 1724-1795)
Recipient Knox, Henry
Document Type Correspondence
Content Description References Knox's letter of 25 August. Received the letter when he had a fever, which has left him in a weak state. Says he feels better and hopes to go to Pennsylvania in October. Notes Earl Wycombe, who came with Maunsell from England, will stop in Philadelphia. Supposes that Knox or Thomas Jefferson will introduce Wycombe to President Washington so he can deliver a book. Has a parcel for his friend [Jaudennis], which was given to him by Evan Nepean, Deputy Secretary of State in England. Hopes Knox can assist him in its delivery "as you have dispatches constantly for the different states."
