My dear husband
I hope this one will find you and your son in good health Pieter Quackenbos has brought 8 thousand stone(s) and is stacking it on the dock bring 2 hogsheads tobacco 3 hogsheads rum 3 barrels of sugar 50 lb. pepper 100 lb. ginger 2 hogsheads molasses and 12 small vats English soap do bring that one barrel rice with you for otherwise I can not get any money for now I have nothing that I can make a nickel on 3 dozen blue gloves stockings 2 dozen white men’s xxxxx stockings 4 pieces striped materials 30 sh or 40 sh the piece 2 dozen choice stockings which we can sell for 9 sh the pair 5 pieces ..... (gherlick?) linen a dozen flowered skirts 6 lb. colored red white thread this is what I need bring along a car (?) sand we can not scour any tin / pewter for we have no sand please do set Robbert (up) that he will be in a good position to earn his living I would love to hear it and tell him that I am concerned about it let him eat at Mrs. Syepert and let him spend his time well to make gains for himself for idleness does not get one a thing I send you 108 sacks of bread I think will be 6 thousand lb. or more I have now gotten a baker and they will bake busily
