Content Description Written as Secretary of War and Navy of the Texas Republic one day after Vasquez occupied San Antonio. Burleson was Vice President of Texas. Vasquez led an unauthorized force in seizing San Antonio and proclaiming Mexican law. The Republic of Texas was too weak to repulse his expedition.
