Content Description Partially printed document countersigned by W.F.A. Torbert with the clerical signature of S. Williams. Orders the senior officer accompanying troops to New York to telegraph the number of soldiers to the Chief Quartermaster General so he may provide adequate transportation. Written on Third Army Corps letterhead. "Third Army Corps" has been struck and replaced with "Army of the Potomac."
